SPRING II: Whitney Otto's 41 False Starts Workshop | May 13 - June 10

In the Beginning: Working Out What You Want To Write

In this workshop writers will have a choice to write beginnings of books  (or short pieces), choosing various genres:  literary, memoir, mystery, young adult, horror, historical fiction, creative nonfiction, personal essay, suspense, espionage, romance.  Each writer will choose four genres.  The idea is to experiment and try your hand at more than one kind of writing, maybe something that never occurred to you, or that you wanted to try. This is a way for writers to experiment and play and, possibly, walk away with the beginning of that book they’ve always been meaning to write. | Maximum: 12 writers
