At the heart of writing poetry is beuaty of brevity. Structure and constraint can free your creativity. Explore the power of short forms to develop your poetic expression. We will read, write and workshop sonnets and other verse forms to discern how structure can help you find expression as a developing poet. Allow time outside of class for completing weekly writing assignments and reading.
