Every poem has a beating heart, the key to the poet’s inspiration and obsession. Kim Addonizio and Dorriane Laux describe revision, which is always creative destruction, as “the poet’s most difficult, demanding, and dangerous work.” In this workshop, we’ll take your draft poems and identify and honor and build upon the poem’s heart as a way to generate opportunities for discovery and revision. Come ready to open your poetry to new strength and possibility. This session welcomes any poet with draft work to share in an energetic and supportive group. | Maximum: 12 writers
