WINTER II: Matthew Dickman's Poetry of Memory Worksop | Feb 24 - Mar. 31

"The only thing you remember is your life." ~ Pablo Neruda

That Reminds Me: the Poetry of Memory: Our memories are not a single image, or even a single experience. Often, as the memoirist Jay Ponteri suggests "Memories nest inside memories." In this class we will let one memory lead us to another and another and another. We will be generating work in class, discussing the dream-land of memory, and looking at the work of other poets who are memory-based writers. If 2017 was a time to forget let's make 2018 a time to remember! Class meets Feb 24, Mar 3, 10, 31 (4 hour session finale) | Maximum 12 writers
